Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT)
During an HBOT session, you will breathe in pure oxygen in a hyperbaric chamber, which administers the oxygen at higher-than-average pressure levels. This can potentially speed up the healing process by stimulating the growth of blood vessels surrounding the damaged tissue. This form of therapy is also effective at treating certain types of infections and can treat many chronic and nonhealing wounds, including diabetic foot wounds and crush injuries.
