Los Robles Health System unveils new emergency room lobby

On Tuesday, December 16, Los Robles Health System reached a major milestone in a larger emergency department expansion project with the grand opening of a new emergency department waiting room.

The $39 Million project began in October of 2021 and has been thoughtfully designed to address the healthcare needs of the greater Conejo Valley area and surrounding regions.

“Today is an exciting day for our community,” shared Phil Buttell, CEO of Los Robles Health System. “Since I started at Los Robles Health System, I have been committed to our emergency department expansion project and our care experience. An emergency department is important in all communities, and I am grateful for our wonderful care teams, physicians and staff that make 24/7 quality, care accessible to the communities we serve.”

Once complete, the total ER expansion will more than double the square footage of the previous space to accommodate the region’s growing patient care needs. Additions include seven new private rooms, three resuscitation rooms, three fast track bays and an internal waiting room with up to 11 vertical treatment recliners. This is in addition to the helipad expansion project that was completed in 2021 to accommodate the county’s Firehawks — used for fighting wildland fires, search and rescue and much more.

This project is one of many construction projects, unit refreshes and refurbishments currently taking place at Los Robles Health System. The hospital and HCA Healthcare have committed $300 million to local projects, including a surgery expansion project, a labor and delivery department refresh, cathedar lab expansion, cancer center, seismic updates and much more.
