Los Robles Health System CEO appointed area chair, Ventura, for Hospital Association of Southern California

Los Robles Health System Chief Executive Officer Phil Buttell, FACHE, has joined the board of directors of the Hospital Association of Southern California (HASC) and has been appointed Area Chair of Ventura.

On the HASC board, Buttell serves as a representative for hospitals, ensuring their needs are heard and addressed. He will provide strategic guidance to the association’s leadership, helping drive HASC’s mission to represent and empower hospitals to improve health and healthcare in their communities.

Buttell brings many years of experience as a healthcare executive officer. Prior to joining Los Robles Health System in April of 2024, Phil worked at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park City, Kansas as Chief Executive Officer. Phil has a passion for collaborating with employees and physicians to ensure high quality healthcare within the community.

Over the years, Phil has demonstrated an excellent track record in maximizing patient experience while focusing on quality clinical care. His enthusiasm and passion for the overall health and well-being of the communities he serves is at the forefront of all that he does.

“I am excited to serve on the HASC Board as Area Chair for Ventura,” Buttell said. “It’s important that our region have a seat at the table as we work together with fellow healthcare organizations to make meaningful and impactful changes that will shape the future of healthcare. I know that together we will make a difference and am honored to serve our community in this capacity.”

Buttell holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rockhurst University, a Master of Health Services Administration degree from the University of Kansas, School of Medicine and a Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas, School of Law.
